The new MK26 Series Vibration Control Workstation is designed specifically for applications that need ultra-low natural frequencies and offers greater ergonomic comfort.
Kinetic Systems manufactures the system with patented Minus K negative stiffness vibration isolators, resulting in a compact, passive Vibration Isolation Workstation with ultra-low natural frequencies, higher internal structural frequencies, and excellent vertical and horizontal isolation efficiency. The MK26 has been upgraded to provide additional legroom and more user comfort.
The Minus K vertical isolator achieves a low net vertical stiffness by combining a strong spring and a negative stiffness mechanism while maintaining its ability to handle static loads.
Beam columns in series with the vertical motion isolator provide horizontal vibration isolation.
When set at a natural frequency of 1/2 Hz, the workstation achieves 93% isolation efficiency at 2 Hz, 99 % at 5 Hz, and 99.7 % at 10 Hz.
Users can customize the MK26 Series with most of Kinetic Systems' vibration isolation workstation accessories, allowing it to be adjusted for a variety of applications.
Typical Vibration Control Applications for the MK26 Vibration Isolation Workstation
The MK26 Series delivers optimal performance for a wide range of instruments, including analytical balances, cell injection, confocal microscopes, optical microscopes, patch clamping, wafer probing, sensor calibration, atomic force microscopes, and other sensitive equipment used in semiconductor processing, telecommunications, aerospace engineering, and medical research.
