The newest tunable laser head from DRS Daylight, the Hedgehog Mid-IR Laser, is ideal for OEM or lab applications. Based on the well-proven External Cavity Quantum Cascade Laser™ technology, the Hedgehog laser is a unique device with TEM00 beam quality, high power, small size, high power, CW or pulsed output, and unmatched spectral repeatability.
Rapid acquisition of high-signal-number data is beneficial for molecular spectroscopy applications. Extensive mid-IR tuning is particularly useful for investigating many molecules or an absorption feature with a broad dynamic range.
The Hedgehog system benefits from low noise output, excellent spectral and spatial beam quality, and broad, quick tuning across the mid-IR spectrum. Its standard GUI, SDK, and sealed, alignment-free design make it easy to access this performance.
Select from the Hedgehog (tunes up to 200 cm-1), Hedgehog-UT (tunes up to 400 cm-1), and Hedgehog-LT (tunes up to 30 cm-1) basic versions.
