World's Leading Nanotechnology Trade Association Announces Details of Expanded Conference Program

The NanoBusiness Alliance, the industry association for the emerging nanotechnology industry, today announced details of its expanded conference program for the 8th annual NanoBusiness 2009 conference and exhibition, which will held at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, from September 8 - 10.

“The relocation of our NanoBusiness Conference to Chicago was designed to address nanotechnology advancements in a variety of important new markets,” observed Sean Murdock, Executive Director, NanoBusiness Alliance, “and we’re pleased to present a conference program that speaks to the Chicago-area’s growing community of nanotechnology innovators.”

“As advancements in nanotechnology are touching nearly every major industry, we determined the need to broaden the focus of our conference program to properly address these important developments,” said Vincent Caprio, Executive Director, NY NanoBusiness Alliance and Event Director. “It’s with that goal in mind that we are presenting our largest and most comprehensive conference program to date.”

Now in its eighth year, NanoBusiness 2009 has moved from New York to Chicago with a focus on revitalizing the economy through nanotechnology innovation. Because Illinois has a large manufacturing base, world class nanoscience research, and a vibrant and growing nanotechnology community, the event is expected to attract a larger base of attendees from “traditional” companies, with an eye towards the acceleration, deployment and commercialization of nanotech innovations.
