NanoBusiness Alliance to Convene Nanotechnology Business Professionals for Annual Roundtable

The NanoBusiness Alliance, the world's leading nanotechnology trade association, today announced that it will convene numerous nanotechnology industry executives in Washington, D.C. from March 15 – 17 for its 9th annual “Washington DC Roundtable”.

As in past years, NanoBusiness Alliance members will participate in three days of high-level meetings with Members of Congress, Administration officials, and key staff.

Scheduled meetings include a Congressional Nanotechnology Caucus moderated by Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), and a session with Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR), who recently introduced the Nanotechnology Safety Act of 2010.

“This is once again a crucial time for nanotechnology in our nation’s capitol,” said Vincent Caprio, Executive Director, NanoBusiness Alliance. “We are grateful for the support we continue to receive on the Hill, and look forward to stimulating dialog between Federal Agencies and our NanoBusiness Alliance members, who are at the forefront of nanotechnology development and commercialization.”

The NanoBusiness Alliance Washington DC Roundtable will also include a day-long “Federal Roundtable” on March 17th, which will address such topics as:

  • Regulatory policy for nanotechnology
  • The NanoElectronics Research Initiative
  • Chemical and consumer product risk management policy
  • Sustainable development and Environmental, Health and Safety research policies
  • Policy and guidance developments for FDA
  • Innovation Focus at the Obama Administration
