ATBM8859 Developed on Sophisticated 55 nm Technology Node

AltoBeam, developer of Digital Television (DTV) demodulator IC products, has declared the global launch of ATBM8859, the latest CTTB/DVB-C demodulator series.

The ATBM8859 demodulator complies with the GB20600-2006, terrestrial DTV broadcasting standard of China. It also conforms to the GY/T 170-2001, which is similar to the ITU-T J.83 DVB-C standard (Annexes A and C). The demodulator also enables the CTTB/DVB-C’s acceptance of high definition as well as standard definition signals.

Dr. Steve Chaohuang Zeng, Founder and CEO of AltoBeam, has stated that their ATBM8859 is developed on the sophisticated 55 nm technology node. He mentioned that when compared to its previous version, the ATBM8859 ensures a finer reception, consumes minimum power and is enclosed in a lesser footprint with smaller amount of pin-count package.  He added that the launch of the ATBM8859 further expands the sizeable scientific gap between AltoBeam and other market players, making their company the reliable demodulator provider for global developers of TV and modules.

According to Qi Deng, VP of International Sales of AltoBeam, leading DTV receivers should remain competent in functional, electrical and aesthetical ways. He mentioned that functionally, the DTV receivers should offer finer reception ensuring pleasing experience for the users; electrically, their reduced power operations must comply with several ecological programs; and appearance wise, they must be thin enough to maintain harmony with the latest interiors of the homes. He added that their ATBM8859 providing finer reception, reduced electricity requirement and compact package, developers of brand specific TV and modules can easily develop sophisticated products.
