XsunX, a company that produces hybrid, thin-film photovoltaic (TFPV) solar cell technologies and manufacturing processes, is collaborating with MAG Industrial Automation Systems (MAG IAS LLC), a developer of industrial manufacturing systems, assembly, and engineering services.
The development will enable XsunX customers to access Global Service and Parts support for its CIGSolar cell development.
The companies will also collaborate on strategic needs for the back end process tools for XsunX consumers needing turnkey solar module assemblies. The system will offer front-end support for the manufacture of solar cells. MAG will offer a module assembly line (or back end process tool) to incorporate the cells into modules to develop CIGSolar systems.
Says Joseph Grimes, president and chief operations officer at XsunX, this partnership will offer customers a technology that will address market needs and time to market. This alliance will ensure that target groups can use the combined installation and support infrastructure.
