Nano Terra has declared it is taking over Surface Logix, a company founded by the Harvard scientist Professor George Whitesides. Surface Logix has created the Pharmacomer Technology Platform to help discover small molecule drugs optimized for human physiology.
Myer Berlow, chief executive officer at Nano Terra says that this acquisition will allow the company to apply its technology in multiple healthcare products. Microfabrication and surface chemistry could enhance the functionality of healthcare products.
According to Keith Dionne, Surface Logix’s president and chief executive officer, his company’s therapies will help deliver rapid life-saving and enhancing solutions to the people who require them.
Nano Terra’s technologies can help develop materials and devices to either improve existing solutions or develop new devices for application in multiple areas, such as clean tech and green tech, to include fuel cells, batteries and solar power devices; water filtration; smart materials and surfaces; flexible electronics like displays and electronic packaging; sensors; industrial platforms and processes; and consumer products.
