Ohio-based, Nanofilm and SDG, two nanotechnology companies recently signed a joint development and licensing agreement to produce and sell nano-formulas that integrate technologies from both companies.
The first effort will be to develop a technology to help monitor the release and toxicity of bio-active agents at the nano-scale. The technology will be used for long lasting anti-bacterial treatment of surfaces. The agreement will include a wide gamut of consumer and industrial applications.
Nanofilm has been developing nano film technology and auto-assembling thin films that are used for multiple substrates and surfaces. Its patented coatings and technologies are applied in optics, transportation, energy, and consumer goods across the globe.
SDG has designed, patented and sold nanoscale liposomes for drug delivery platforms in therapeutic treatments and diagnostic imaging solutions, nutraceutical materials, and consumer products such as fragrances, cosmetics, sunscreens and hair care products.
