Conference on Sensors to Educate Knowledge Seekers

In the Design West event, to be held at San Jose in California by the last week of March, 2012, a design summit on sensors has been included.

The two day conference, Sensors in Design 2012, will be held on March 28 and 29, 2012. The conference is conducted in partnership with MEMS industry group, Design News and EE Times.

The participants will gain knowledge on advanced technologies through the speakers, ranging from the designing the sensors to applications of sensors. The conference deals on smart-grid sensing design for managing energy in industries, structural designing of sensor systems and production of microcontrollers and MEMS sensors in industries.

The four major topics to be focused in the conference include MEMS, harsh environments, smart sensing and leading-edge sensor applications.

The sessions will have speeches by eminent personnel in sensors and industrial companies using sensor technology. The distinguished speakers include Mr. Mike Housholder, InvenSense’s Senior Director for Solution Marketing, he will discuss about the mobile devices, handheld electronics and customer products of MEMS; Mr. Stephen Whalley, Intel’s Director for sensors, a panel member, will deal on “Future of the MEMS market: new and innovative applications”; Jay Esfandyari, who is the Product Manager at MEMS in STMicroelectronics will talk about the solution to embed MEMS sensors in portable devices; and Mr. Michael Stanley, System Engineer at Freescale Semiconductors, will address about the concerns of designing a product to include magnetic and inertial sensors.

Design West is a four day conference to be held on March 26-29, 2012. The conference is expected to provide a thorough knowledge on sensors, multicores, LEDs, embedded security, android, open source software, power management, total system integration, embedded software and hardware design. The participants can improve their skill sets and know more about new products.

UBM Electronics has been conducting conferences in many industrial disciplines from 2007.
