Malvern Instruments Reports on a Successful Series of Nanoparticle Characterization Seminars

A series of highly interactive 2-day seminars delivered by Malvern Panalytical, which encompassed expert presentations and ‘up close’ practical workshops showcasing the latest in nanoparticle characterization technology, have been widely praised by attendees.

Multiple technologies can be used to characterize nanoparticles.

Feedback from delegates to the ‘Latest Methods in Nanoparticle Characterization’ events, which took place in various locations across the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil from April through to June, confirmed especially an appreciation of the detailed presentations about different characterization technologies and their applications, and the value of being able to participate in live instrument demonstrations. The seminars were presented as part of Malvern Panalytical’s global program dedicated to sharing expertise and providing exemplary technical and applications support.

“Delegates were particularly enthusiastic about discussing their own analytical challenges with Malvern Panalytical’s applications experts,” said Thomas Guenette, Director of Marketing for the Americas at Malvern Panalytical. “Demonstrations of our nanoparticle characterization range using real-life samples made a big impression. They provided delegates with the opportunity to learn more about complementary technologies and how these technologies can provide critical data for a broad spectrum of characterization challenges.”

The nanoparticle characterization seminars offered participants an opportunity to learn about the portfolio of technologies available from Malvern Panalytical, including the benefits and limitations of each, across application areas ranging from industrial nanoparticles to protein biotherapeutics. Technology sessions were offered for Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) / Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) / Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC), and Rotational and Microcapillary Rheometry.

“With the overwhelmingly majority of delegates reporting that they were ‘very satisfied’ with the events, I think we have discovered an educational format that works well for everyone and we are looking forward to bringing similar seminars to more customers in the future,” said Thomas Guenette.
