Industrial Nanotech, Inc., an emerging global leader in nanotechnology, is featured in the July 2007 issue of Tekstil & Teknik, which covers the Turkish textile industry.
The feature story spotlights Turkish textile manufacturer, Henateks, and how it has dealt with the rising energy costs and lower profit margins facing the textile industry worldwide. After looking at a range of possible solutions, Henateks chose Nansulate Translucent as a heat insulation and corrosion solution for their large facility.
“As known, profit margins in textiles have decreased significantly in recent years and export companies had to press on tailor-cut companies to reduce their rates due to the instability in the exchange rate and the high value of the Turkish lira (the Turkish currency). We started to seek solutions to pull the energy costs (electricity 7%, natural gas 17%) down,” says Eyop Sozdinler of Henateks A.S. The solution Henateks chose was Industrial Nanotech’s Nansulate Translucent.
”We have just completed six months and saved natural gas by 16%. At the end, the rate is likely to reach 20%, which means an annual saving of 800,000 Turkish lira ($625,171.25 US),” continues Sozdinler. “We are delighted to reduce our natural gas consumption and continue our responsibility to the environment.”
“Both dyeing and finishing processes in the textile industry require an extraordinary amount of heat energy. The costs are rising worldwide with few good solutions to capping costs and maintaining a profit margin,” said Francesca Crolley, VP of Operations for Industrial Nanotech. “Industrial Nanotech is proud to provide worldwide textile manufacturers like Henateks a cost and energy efficient solution which not only impacts their bottom line but also addresses global concerns regarding reducing energy use and carbon emissions, while giving them the critical added value of protection against corrosion.”
