Professor Kevin O'Grady, head of the Magnetic Materials Research Group at the University of York, talks to AZoNano about magneto-thermal heating effects in nanoparticles.
In quantum-optical studies samples need to be optically accessed through windows.
This article describes the range of graphene films on copper available from Graphenea. The copper substrates available include circular, square and rectangular units, in a variety of dimensions.
As nanotechnology continues to advance in almost every scientific field, its application in industry has been particularly valuable through the growing use of nanocomposites. A nanocomposite can be a one, two or three-dimensional matrix in which particles (<100 nm in size) have been added to improve a particular property of the material. The presence of these composite materials are able to reinfo

The presence of particle detectors operated at up to 4x10-4Torr pressures enables operation of mass spectrometers at pressures close to that of several plasma processing systems. This results in a better sampling of both neutral and ionized species obtained from plasma reactors.
Beneficial data can be obtained by directly measuring spectra and energy distributions of mass-identified positive and negative ions approaching the target surfaces in plasma reactors.
Erik Runge, Director of Engineering at Minus K Technology, talks to AZoNano about their low-frequency vibration isolation systems.
The European Science Foundation has defined nanomedicine as “the science and technology of diagnosing, treating and preventing disease and traumatic injury, of relieving pain, and of preserving and improving human health, using molecular tools and molecular knowledge of the human body.”
