All new DynaPro® Plate Reader for Automated Characterization of Size, Molecular Weight and Stability of Macromolecules and Nanoparticles

Wyatt Technology, the world leader in instrumentation for absolute macromolecular and nanoparticle characterization, announces the launch of its next generation, all-in-one instrument for automated characterization of size, molecular weight, aggregation and stability: the DynaPro® Plate Reader III.

This latest innovation marks an entirely new level of productivity for scientists. It is now the only instrument to combine both Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Static Light Scattering (SLS) in a single, fully automated platform with measurements taken directly in 96, 384 or 1536 industry-standard microwell plates.

The new DynaPro Plate Reader III can rapidly screen proteins, nanoparticles, colloids and macromolecules to determine their size, molecular weight, aggregation and stability profiles using as little as 4 μL of sample. Furthermore, the instrument can characterize both conformational and colloidal stability indicators like Tonset, Tagg, A2 and kD by simply running a temperature ramp or concentration series. Scientists can also quickly perform viscosity determinations for the viability of biopharmaceuticals and use the built-in camera to image each well for additional insight.

Among our many innovations of the past few years, I’m particularly proud of the work our team has done on this instrument. We interviewed scores of our existing and potential customers to find out what they really wanted in a plate-based DLS instrument, and the DynaPro Plate Reader III is the result. This new product creates novel opportunities to advance the speed of biopharmaceutical and nanoparticle screening and development by using industry-standard, readily available well plates.

Geofrey Wyatt, President of Wyatt Technology

The DynaPro Plate Reader III is one more way Wyatt Technology fulfills its mission to help ensure our customers’ success in characterizing and developing cutting-edge, life-enhancing biopharmaceuticals.

At Wyatt Technology, we have been pioneering experts in light scattering instrumentation for over 35 years. As a family-owned business we consider our customers part of our extended family.
