Cascade Microtech, Inc., a leader at enabling precision measurements of integrated circuits at the wafer level, was recently named an Oregon Technology Award finalist in the category "Technology Company of the Year - Enterprise."
The Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) will award this honor to a large, established company that is a leader in both their industry and the technology community. The award will consider all accomplishments over the past year, which could include the success of new product introductions, community involvement and impact on industry trends.
Incorporated in Oregon in 1984, Cascade Microtech has a strong history of innovation in the design, development, and manufacture of advanced probing solutions for the electrical measurement and testing of high performance semiconductor chips. The company's products are used in the early phases of the development of semiconductor processes where the accuracy and repeatability of measurements is critical to enabling early yield. These products address most segments of the semiconductor industry, including wireless and wired communications and computing, industrial and automotive. A substantial portion of the company's revenue is generated from sales of probe stations and probes to research and development laboratories of semiconductor manufacturers, as well as to fabless semiconductor companies, industry consortia and academic institutions. The company's customers include 25 of the top 25 semiconductor companies.
"We are pleased to be identified among this esteemed group of finalists considered to be leaders in the technology sector of Oregon. We are proud to support the global technology community with tools to develop new products and next-generation technologies in order to address the challenges of advanced device manufacturing as efficiently as possible," said Michael Burger, President and CEO, Cascade Microtech, Inc. "The vast majority of all semiconductor processes today are characterized using Cascade Microtech products. We have built strong relationships with our customer base over the past 25 years, and we are committed to providing our customers with products and technology that will keep pace with their emerging requirements."
