Arrowhead Research Corporation, an emerging company in the field of nanotechnology, announced today that John C. Miller, one of the leading authorities on nanotechnology business and legal policy in the country, has agreed to join the Company as Vice President, Intellectual Property. In his new capacity, Mr. Miller will help guide Arrowhead Research in the area of business development, as well as patent and intellectual property issues. Mr. Miller is, and will continue to be, a managing editor of Nanotechnology Law & Business, a quarterly journal that is a widely recognized source of information on important developments and the latest trends in nanotechnology law, business and policy. He is a co-founder of NanoAdvisors, a consulting service that connects leading nanotech researchers with legal, corporate, and financial institutions. Mr. Miller has published several articles on legal and policy issues in nanotechnology, and co-authored, The Handbook of Nanotechnology Business, Policy and Intellectual Property Law (John Wiley, September 2004). He recently spoke to California lawmakers at the 2004 California Nanotechnology Policy Briefing in Sacramento. Mr. Miller is a member of the California Bar and federal courts in the Northern District of California, and graduated Order of the Coif from Stanford Law School.
