Cornell NanoScale Science and Technology Facility Helps Researchers Develop Microscopic, Organic Transistors

To make better mind maps, a group of French scientists – building on prototypes developed at the Cornell NanoScale Science and Technology Facility (CNF) – have produced the world’s first microscopic, organic transistors that can amplify and record signals from within the brain itself.

Indian Researchers Control Shape of Lead Nanoparticles Using Sunbeams

Indian researchers (Theivasanthi and Alagar) have controlled shape of lead nanoparticles by using sunbeams. The group, based at Centre for Research and Post Graduate Department of Physics, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College comments: “To our best knowledge, this is the first demonstration for controlling shape of lead nanopowder (Pb) under the influence of sunbeams.

Scientists Increase Efficiency of Nanofibre Production

Scientists from Contipro have managed to significantly increase the efficiency of nanofibre production. Thanks to efforts to develop technology capable of producing nanofibres from materials which are hard to spin, a jet has been created which is two to seven times more productive, depending on the solution used.
