Veeco Instruments Inc., manufactures enabling solutions for customers in the HB-LED, solar, data storage, semiconductor, scientific research and industrial markets, will again co-sponsor the MBE Innovator Award in 2009 in conjunction with the North American Molecular Beam Epitaxy (NAMBE) organization. The award, initiated in 2003, recognizes those individuals whose innovations have significantly advanced the field of MBE, consisting of a $3,000 honorarium and plaque.
The award will be presented in August at the North American Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy. The conference is scheduled to take place in Princeton, New Jersey at Princeton University. Nominations for the award are open to all universities, government organizations or commercial companies worldwide. Nominees must have shown or are currently showing innovation in advancing MBE technology. NAMBE Advisory Committee Officials will select a winner from the submitted nominations, with the respective recipient receiving the award at the Tuesday evening Conference Banquet.
