mPhase CEO Discusses Evolution of Smart NanoBattery and Road to Revenue

mPhase Technologies, Inc. (OTC.BB:XDSL - News) today announced that CEO Ron Durando will be speaking at the NanoBusiness Conference 2009 on Thursday, September 10. Mr. Durando will discuss the evolution of its Smart NanoBattery technology and how the company is leveraging this advanced battery technology to create revenue from a consumer based product.

His presentation, titled "Evolution of a Smart NanoBattery and The Road to Revenue," will take place at 11:45 AM at the Chicago Hyatt Regency McCormick Place.

mPhase Technologies is commercializing an advanced technology that brings together elements of nanotechnology, microfluidics, and MEMS to create a unique battery that offers a potentially infinite shelf life. The process of electrowetting is used to physically keep the battery's chemicals separate until initial activation to eliminate power dissipation. mPhase is currently working toward developing a prototype of its Smart NanoBattery as part of a U.S. Army STTR program. The company was awarded $750,000 in September of 2008 under a two year development program.

mPhase is also preparing for the launch of its first consumer product using their advanced battery technology. The mPhase reserve lithium battery will be utilized in the AlwaysReady Emergency Flashlight which the company expects to be available for purchase in early 2010. mPhase is now moving toward production of the product as the first working prototype of the product was just recently completed.

Mr. Durando will address the company's progress in commercializing these advanced technology products at the conference.
