There is still time until January 8 2010 to register for the second edition of the Alp NanoBio International School (ANIS2), which will be held in Sterzing/Vipiteno (Bozen, Italy) from 11 to 15 of January 2010, organized by the Centre of Excellence LATEMAR - funded by MIUR, in collaboration with the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK).
This year edition is focused on "Micro and nanotechnologies applied to cancer research, diagnostics and therapy". Currently, there is a lot of research going on to design novel devices capable of early detection of cancer cells, locating precisely them within the body and delivering anti-cancer drugs. This school will provide a state of art training across these nanomedicine major areas. The lectures will be accessible to PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and others interested in this newly emerging interdisciplinary field. Fruitful, open and interactive discussions of case-studies are planned to provide students with an advanced working knowledge. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to present their research work in the form of poster. Aim of the school is to provide a platform for interdisciplinary communications, with contributions from science and industry.
Important proponents are also represented by some Institutions of the Autonomous Province of Trento involved in biomedical research activities: Molecular Stamping, CiBio Università di Trento, ATreP-Provincial Agency for Proton Therapy (Trento), CNR-IBF.
