Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO), the leading provider of scanning probe microscopes (SPM) to the nanoscience community and industrial sectors, today announced the launch of "The Nanoscale World,"an online community resource and forum website for SPM + Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) collaboration. The Nanoscale World offers AFM researchers a direct means of interacting with the most advanced and active SPM community in the world enabling collaborative feedback and scientific interaction on a wide range of SPM related topics.
Building upon a decade of experience hosting Veeco's online "SPM Digest," the Nanoscale World joins Veeco Labs Research Grants and Veeco's yearly hosting of the Seeing at the Nanoscale international conference, as premier community-wide collaboration between Veeco and the world's top AFM scientists and institutions.
Stephen Minne, Senior Director of Applications Development of Veeco's AFM Business, commented, "The Nanoscale World will replace our current SPM Digest and will provide the SPM research community with a unique opportunity to connect within one location, furthering the science of SPM, AFM and related fields. Additionally, the Nanoscale World is a great source of information for SPM related information, such as application notes and technical articles. Involvement is open to any researchers regardless of application or AFM brand use."
By visiting the site and registering as part of the community, users will be able to partake in all forum discussions and access an exhaustive collection of webinars, videos, application notes, technical articles, images and information provided by both Veeco and the AFM community. The site also provides an exclusive access area for Veeco SPM owners to find system manuals, technical briefs, software updates, and other downloads.
After over a decade of service to the SPM community, the SPM Digest will go offline this September. Until then, all postings to the SPM Digest will be mirrored to the Nanoscale World community.
