New UK Subsidiary Formed by Contour Energy

Contour Energy Systems, Inc. an innovative portable power company commercializing next-generation battery systems, today announced a new limited subsidiary in the United Kingdom that will provide the company a strategic presence in advance of the rollout of new commercial battery systems in Europe. The limited subsidiary, headquartered in the Midlands, UK, is headed by Simon Lee-Overy, who will serve as Managing Director.

“Having an established presence in the United Kingdom provides us with a strategic beach head as we prepare the launch of our battery systems in the UK and Europe,” said Joe Fisher, CEO of Contour Energy Systems. “We’re very fortunate to have secured Simon Lee-Overy as the Managing Director of our European Operations given his immense experience in the battery industry, deep understanding of the markets, and ‘go-to-market’ track record. Today marks a significant milestone for Contour Energy Systems.”

Mr. Lee-Overy has over twenty years of experience in the battery business including a twelve year career with Energizer. In addition to handling major accounts in Europe, he has extensive retail and OEM experience and maintains a deep understanding of UK compliance laws.

“The pent up demand for next-generation portable power solutions across the UK and throughout Europe is the key driver in establishing Contour’s limited subsidiary,” said Mr. Lee-Overy. “Contour is uniquely positioned with its advanced battery systems in delivering solutions with improved price/performance characteristics.”

Contour’s UK operations will be based in the Keele University Science and Business Park just outside Staffordshire.
