Keynote Photonics Launches FlexLight X1 Development Platform for DLP-Based Applications

Keynote Photonics, a developer of DLP® MEMs solutions, today at SPIE Photonics West introduced a new DLP® development platform targeted for a wide range of photonics applications.

Offering an integrated intelligent bit-raster generator and integrated DLP control processor, application developers can concentrate on their system design without needing to program the inner workings of the DLP chipset.

Designed as a versatile yet powerful tool, the Keynote DLP® FlexLight X1 allows users to accelerate the development of their DLP-based photonics application. Users can apply data rates as high as 8 Gbits/sec using dual HDMI ports. Developers can tailor the X1 system operation using the embedded host processor.

“The X1 system provides users an integrated solution for DLP® photonics applications,” said Adam Kunzman, president, Keynote Photonics. “Users can simply drive the system from a PC or precisely control areas on the DLP modulator with the integrated bit-raster generator, leveraging our wide variety of pre-loaded sequence solutions.”

The FlexLight X1 development system provides manufacturers a simple, yet powerful way to develop DLP-based products and applications. The X1 works with both the DLP .95” HD or .96” WUXGA chipsets. Using the ultra-fast switching speed of DLP technology and its ability to modulate across the light spectrum from UV to infra-red, the X1 can be used in a variety of applications from 3D Metrology to Spectroscopy.
