Nanoco Group has declared that it has received payment worth US$2 million from a leading Japanese firm for manufacturing 1kg of red cadmium-free quantum dots (CFQD) to the firm’s specifications.
The production of one kg batch of CFQD is a significant technological advancement, emphasizing the expandability of the patented technology of Nanoco as well as the proficiency of its production and the technical staff.
The one kg batch of red cadmium-free quantum dots was produced as specified at the Runcorn-based production plant of Nanoco. Nanoco is looking forward to validating that green CFQD will cope with their final technological landmark in another few months, triggering a payment of US$1 million. The company will manufacture one kg of green CFQD for supplying it to the same Japanese firm in the next half of this year. Upon authorization, the green CFQD will also initiate US$2 million worth payment for Nanoco.
Michael Edelman, Chief Executive Officer of Nanoco, expressed his delight in producing the onekg batch of red quantum dots as per the client’s requirements. He added that they are looking forward to achieving their technological milestones as well as manufacturing one kg of green quantum dots.
