Industrial Nanotech, a manufacturer of nanoscience energy-saving products, has declared that PT. Kraft, Indonesia has placed a repeat order for its patented Nansulate Translucent GP, an energy-saving protective coating.
This coating was earlier used for insulating baking oven in order to minimize surface temperature, reduce the amount of energy consumed, and control temperature in the working area. The Nansulate coating is registered under NSF confirming its application on surfaces that may come into incidental contact with food substances.
The voluntary nonfood compounds registration program was introduced by NSF International in 1999 to re-launch the previous approval program initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). All non-food compounds that are used in food related applications are appropriate for NSF Registration. Once the product is registered it conveys the consumers and inspection officials that the processes and label contents follow food safety regulations.
Francesca Crolley, Vice President of Industrial Nanotech, stated that Nansulate coating technology provides innovative solutions to the food production industry. This NSF registered coating is secure to use on surfaces which accidentally comes in contact with food and it is mold, moisture and dust proof, thereby acting as an ideal protection coating to the food and beverage industry, he added. In Indonesia, this coating is used for insulating bigger ovens which are difficult to be protected using traditional insulating materials. Francesca continued, unlike traditional coatings, Nansulate does not allow much heat to be transferred from the surface area to the surrounding area. Apart from lowering the surface temperature and energy-consumption, it ensures safety to workers, he added. Further, he stated that Nanotech has received the repeat order from Indonesia-based Kraft Foods and the company will seek to serve them with additional products in future.
