The Technology Park in Zamudio will host a conference on the application of nanomaterials in industry on 12 June, focusing on the automotive and construction industries.
It is organized by the IK4-TEKNIKER technology centre with the participation of entities like the Acciona infrastructure company and the Basque firm specialised in the production of graphene, Graphenea, in addition to public organisations such as the nanoBasque Agency.
The conference is part of the CarbonInspired European project which aims at creating a transfer network between Spain, Portugal and the South of France in the application of high value added materials based on carbonous nanoparticles for the automotive and construction sectors.
The collaboration network between the public and private R&D centres in the CarbonInspired project intend to boost the transfer of knowledge to companies and provide advice to companies in southeast Europe, in particular SMEs, to develop new products and processes based on carbonous nanoparticles.
CarbonInspired is oriented to act as a bridge between research in carbon nanomaterials on behalf of the scientific community and its implementation in the market, finding applications in highly added value products and processes in a safe and profitable manner which respects the environment
The conference will count on the intervention of representatives from the Basque Government's Society for Competitive Transformation (SPRI); IK4-TEKNIKER; the Galician Automotive Technology Centre (CTAG); Graphenea; and Avanzare. Representatives from IK4-GAIKER; Acciona Infrastructures; Maier Technology Center; Gerdau; the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC); and IK4-CIDETEC will also intervene.
