Qcept Technologies, a company specializing in wafer inspection solutions, has reported that so far the company has secured over 30 orders from 8 clients for its ChemetriQ Inspection Services (Q-Services) offering, a key landmark achieved by the company.
With Qcept Technologies’ Q-Services, device makers and equipment vendors can deploy non-visual defect (NVD) inspection programs that are exclusively customized for their requirements before buying a Qcept ChemetriQ NVD inspection system. Through Q-Services, clients can send their substrates to the company, which performs an inspection scan using its patented scanning surface potential difference imaging sensor technology, followed by data analysis and reporting in accordance with the experimental studies of the clients.
Q-Services offering finds use in non-wafer-shaped substrates, conventional semiconductor substrates, and even in sub-200-mm diameter wafers, thus allowing numerous companies to analyze Qcept’s potential NVD inspection applications for improving their production processes and yields.
Q-Services customers consist of CMOS and infrared image sensor producers, semiconductor device manufacturers, and e-beam, plasma ash, plasma etch, wafer cleaning equipment companies, which are utilizing Q-Services for their product development programs and for improvement of their processes of record.
Qcept Technologies’ Executive Vice President, Robert Newcomb stated that it is significant to the company to make its technology readily available to the industry so that device makers and equipment companies can assess the advantages of NVD inspection for the optimization of their process development activities and production yields.
