Developer of smart surface technology, mPhase Technologies has entered into a partnership agreement with New Jersey-based Steven Institute of Technology to jointly seek research and development projects and business opportunities with industry and government.
The focal point of the partnership will be the design and development of advanced battery technology by employing the expertise and proprietary knowledge of both the companies to enhance the Smart Nano Battery Technology of mPhase by integrating it with the graphene-based inkjet printing technique of Stevens’ for electronic circuit and electrode printing.
mPhase makes use of research findings in nanotechnology, microfluidics and MEMS processing to develop its Smart Surface Technology. With potential applications in lab-on-a-chip analytic systems, liquid and chemical sensor systems, drug delivery systems and filtration systems, the Smart Surface technology facilitated the development of the first smart surface enabled product, the mPhase Smart Nano Battery.
The companies want to assess the prospects of offering funding support to research carried out by Stevens’ in the field of graphene based inkjet printing for electronic circuits.
