BBI To Sponsor GOLD 2012 in Tokyo

BBI has been the world’s leading supplier of gold colloid since 1986 and this year is proud to show support of the Gold Council as a premier sponsor of their prestigious event being held at the Keio Plaza Hotel, Tokyo, 5th - 8th September 2012.

The conference, which is only held every three years, presents a forum where scientists and technologists can come together to learn and discuss the latest advances in gold science and technology.

Nanotechnology is central to the programme, and as leaders in the field there was no question as to whether BBI would attend. "Establishing partnerships for the future with academics and other businesses is key to the growth of gold nanotechnology within the diagnostics arena, plus new and emerging areas such as material science, plasmonics and drug delivery" commented BBI’s Dundee Head of R&D, Richard Campbell. "GOLD 2012 will bring together some of the world’s most knowledgeable people in the field; we are very excited".

BBI will also take the opportunity to talk about their new Goldlink™ rapid conjugation kits, a product launched earlier in the year which benefits from new gold technology and enables antibody conjugation in less than 15 minutes.

The kits are designed for early stage R&D, where users need to initially explore the viability of a range of antibodies. Antibodies can now be screened easily in-house in a cost effective way, before undergoing a development programme to optimise the product.
