An open house was also held along with the ceremony for customers, investors and neighbors. The Delhi Township Supervisor, Stuart Goodrich stated that Delhi Township is happy to greet XG Sciences to the Delhi community. XG Sciences’ ongoing success through leadership all across the globe and the creation of high-tech jobs is not only helpful to Delhi Township but also to its neighboring communities and the Michigan state.

Mike Knox, Chief Executive Officer at XG Sciences, stated that the company has grown up significantly in the past five years. With 80 tons of annual production, representing the largest capacity for this class of nanomaterial in the world, the company has the capability to leverage the rapidly growing market for graphene-based products. The company’s pricing is commercially viable when compared to other kinds of carbon materials. Customers will now be able to move forward with product innovations, recognizing that the company’s capacity and global partner network will help them safely run their supply chain. The company expects that there will be a requirement for another capacity expansion in the near future.

xGnP graphene nanoplatelets are high-purity nanomaterials useful to enhance the performance of plastic structural components, coatings, printed electronics, capacitors and batteries.
