Dr.Edgar Voelkl Appointed as Director of Product Management at Hitachi High Technologies America’s Nanotechnology Systems Division

The Nanotechnology Systems Division (NSD) of Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Edgar Voelkl to the role of Director of Product Management. Dr. Voelkl will oversee all aspects of product marketing and management in the U.S. for HTA’s TEM and STEM product offerings.

“I’m very pleased to have someone of Edgar’s technical acumen and stature in the microscopy community joining the NSD team,” said Phil Bryson, VP/ GM of NSD, “I’m confident he will be a key contributor in our strategic planning for the TEM and STEM marketplace. Dr. Voelkl joins HTA following successful careers in academia, research and industry. He has a PhD in Physics and Electron Optics from Tübingen University, in Germany and has acquired an unusually wide range of capabilities and experiences over the years. He is widely published, and is considered one of the world’s premier scientists in TEM holography.
