Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation ("SMIC"), China's largest and most advanced semiconductor foundry, will host its first showcase in the 51st Design Automation Conference (DAC) held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco. This is the first time for SMIC to participate in DAC which is the premier conference for Electronic Design Automation.
In this conference, SMIC will show its latest technology development roadmap and integrated solutions of one-stop service, and share its efforts and achievements of building an IC ecosystem. In SMIC's booth, there will be numerous valuable and insightful speeches, presented by SMIC's Technology Development, Design Service, Sales and Marketing professionals, and many guest speakers from partners as well. They will introduce SMIC's new progress of 28nm technology platform and research achievements in IP, EDA, ESD, etc. and share measures and prospects of building a design service ecosystem together with partners.
"For SMIC's first showcase in DAC, we're glad to invite many partners to jointly show and share our latest progress of technology and design service." said Dr. Tianshen Tang, senior vice president of SMIC's Design Service Center, "SMIC has always been committed to research on EDA and provide customers with a complete reference process based on advanced EDA tools, as well as rich and diverse IP solutions. SMIC's comprehensive design services can meet customers' chip design demands and help them reduce the chip integration cycle and hit the market smoothly. To take full advantage of DAC, we expect to further communicate with customers to let them recognize SMIC's strong capabilities in technology and service, and explore more opportunities to cooperate with overseas customers."
"We are pleased to join the professional design automation conference in North America with SMIC. It demonstrates close strategic cooperative partnership between SMIC and Brite. We will jointly show our advanced IC manufacturing technologies, diverse application platforms and design service capabilities. Meanwhile, we will present in SMIC's booth to introduce opportunities around SMIC's ecosystem and expect that more customers and partners can join in," said Dr. Charlie Zhi, president & CEO of Brite Semiconductor, who jointly participated in DAC with SMIC.
"We are pleased to be part of SMIC's first exhibition at DAC. We feel that customers will be very interested in our joint presentations at the SMIC booth describing solutions for advanced ESD checking and successful application of Calibre LFD to help ensure design optimization for SMIC's process offering," said Michael Buehler-Garcia, senior director of marketing for Calibre Design Solutions, Mentor Graphics (one of SMIC's partners).
