Novati Technologies, Inc. -- fresh from being awarded Innovator of the Year by EETimes and EDN, and also named one of Austin’s Hottest Start-Ups by that city’s investment community -- will highlight the coming materials revolution when CEO Dave Anderson addresses the opening day at the Sensors Expo conference, June 24, in Chicago.
Based on 30 years of experience in the semiconductor business, Anderson will explain the latest in disruptive nanotechnologies for that global industry. He will illustrate how Novati is employing a world-leading 60 elements from the Periodic Table, along with MEMS technologies, in order to move novel ideas and breakthrough designs into development and volume production. Traditional foundries typically limit customers to only about 25 elements.
As today’s systems become more concerned with size, weight, power and cost considerations, transitioning towards 2.5D and 3D packaging is disruptive and incongruent with Moore’s Law, but is needed and supported by the implementation of new elements. Anderson will discuss the opportunities in the More-than-Moore markets and how they are accelerating the linkage of sensors and servers for a more connected world, the Internet of Things (IoT).
