Springer and The Graphene Council launch new journal Graphene Technology

Starting in January 2016, Springer and The Graphene Council are launching a new journal called Graphene Technology. As a forum for the latest findings on the commercial and practical applications of graphene and graphene-related materials, the journal supplies researchers with cutting-edge, comprehensive information.

As the largest community in the world for graphene researchers, application developers and producers, The Graphene Council is thrilled to work with Springer to produce our official journal Graphene Technology. We aim to make it the leading platform to highlight quality graphene research, with a focus on real-world applications.

Terrance Barkan - Executive Director of The Graphene Council

Graphene Technology showcases the latest graphene research and development in practical commercial applications and technologies. The interdisciplinary journal provides a forum for researchers to share their original and innovative findings, in addition to identifying methods of production and applications. These include, but are not limited to, graphene sheets, nanoplatelets, nanotubes, dispersions and hybrid materials. Besides publishing original research, review articles and interviews, it has a special section highlighting news from the literature.

Amazing materials discoveries in the nanodomain now need to be translated into structures and devices to realise true significance. Graphene came along at the right time. An understanding of carbon chemistries, processing and fabrication will ensure we will continue to see this amazing material in an array of real applications

Gordon Wallace - University of Wollongong, Australia

Graphene and two-dimensional materials are emerging from a strong foundation of fundamental studies to a whole range of potential applications that could revolutionise our world. We expect that Graphene Technology will emerge as the premier avenue to disseminate results in this field.

Aravind Vijayaraghavan - National Graphene Institute, The University of Manchester, UK

We are thrilled to partner with The Graphene Council and to work with such an illustrious editorial board. We are confident that readers from both academia and industry will benefit from the papers published in Graphene Technology.

Mayra Castro - Publishing Editor, Springer

The Graphene Council was founded in 2013 with the vision and mission of serving the global graphene community. It acts as a catalyst for the development and successful commercialization of graphene materials. The Council also provides a platform and network for anyone involved in the research, development and application of graphene materials. More than 5,000 students, academics, researchers, producers and users of graphene have joined to make it the largest community of graphene professionals in the world.
