Government grants awarded to leading Graphene manufacturer in top class development partnerships.
Thomas Swan is pleased to announce the recent award of additional Innovate UK funding for two new collaborative projects in a programme entitled “Advancing the Commercial Applications of Graphene”.
The first project will see the Thomas Swan Advanced Materials team work alongside Plessey Semiconductors Ltd., Nano Products Ltd. and Nottingham Trent and Strathclyde universities on flexible LEDs.
The second project will involve a partnership with DelStar International Ltd., Haydale Ltd. and the University of Bradford to develop plastic composites for advanced separations. Both projects are due to start on 1st April 2016.

Thomas Swan & Co. Ltd. continues to extend its capability to produce high quality Graphene. Following recent investments, the company will increase its capacity to 15 tonnes of Graphene during 2016.
The company also recognises that the principal challenge in Graphene commercialisation remains the identification and optimisation of applications in which Graphene technologies add value. Therefore, the company continues to work actively with partners to develop commercial applications for these unique materials.
