Oxford Instruments NanoScience announces the long-term collaboration agreement signed with CASmF Science and Technology Limited (CASmF) in China, to jointly develop high precision Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM) products using TeslatronPT, the Cryofree® superconducting magnet system from Oxford Instruments.
SPM products form images of surfaces using a physical probe that scans the specimen. The SPM probe when used with TestatronPT can be configured to use for cutting-edge applications, such as 2D materials, nano-structures, superconductivity and many others.
The preliminary results from this collaborative project using a simple scanning tunneling microscope (STM) measurement probe housed in the TeslatronPT magnet cryostat platform have already demonstrated that atomically resolved graphite STM images can be obtained using the ultra-low vibration performance of the standard platform.
Dr Qingyou LU, the President of CASmF expressed, “A time of tightly integrated hand shaking between Oxford Instruments’ strong market presence and emphasis on the technology innovation, and CASmF’s vision for ‘Innovation, Quality and Collaboration’. It’s bound to be a significant move towards achieving outstanding business results and efficiencies”.
This is a very prestigious collaboration for us with a Chinese High-tech company of such high repute developing world's leading scientific research instruments. CASmF has deep technical accumulation and development capabilities in the SPM area. I am sure that this collaboration will open a new future for both the businesses.
