Nanotechnology is one of the key technologies of this century. This key technology will open the doors to improved materials and services, improve the quality of life and create jobs. Technology transfer needs a network of science, research engineering, application, training and public discussion.
Under the title "New Ideas for Industry" Nanofair will present from 11 - 12 March 2008 a platform of the exchange of ideas and the generation of initiatives between research and industry. The scope of the conference will be nanotechnology in the fields of materials, electronics, life sciences, optics and surfaces. An educated consideration of possible risks will be undertaken alongside a forward look towards new technologies and applications. Nanofair 2008 will be held in Dresden.
Dresden is a special example for economic success within the high technology area. It is "Germany's most dynamic city 2006" and one of the most dynamic business locations in Europe. This success is based on a great variety of industries with particular competencies in the future-oriented sectors of Nanotechnology, Microelectronics and Life Sciences/Biotechnology.
Nanofair and would like to invite you to join the interesting programme and taking the opportunity to intensively discussions with the experts.
This year directly after the Nanofair three Fraunhofer Institutes in Dresden (Photonic Microsystems; Materials and Beam Technology; Ceramic Technologies and Systems) are arranging three nanotechnology seminars combined with laboratory visits.
The parallel running seminar programmes will focus on:
- Thin layer organic devices for energy saving and production (Fraunhofer IPMS)
- Coating and plasma processes for energy efficiency and photovoltaics (Fraunhofer IWS)
- Materials for fuel cells and photovoltaics (Fraunhofer IKTS)
Herewith we would like to invite you to our Seminars and Lab tours "Nanotechnologies for Energy and Energy Efficiency" on 13. March 2008, 9:00 am at Fraunhofer-Institutszentrum, Winterbergstraße 28, 01277 Dresden.
The participation is free of charge, but participation is limited to 50 persons. Registration for the seminar programme is via e-mail: [email protected]. Further details are available at www.nanotechnology.de.
