SiGNa Chemistry, Inc., a developer of stabilized reactive metals for safer, more efficient industrial chemistry, today announced a major expansion of its central process development laboratory in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. Completed on November 3rd, the expansion more than doubles the size of the laboratory to over 5,000 square feet. In addition, SiGNa has more than doubled its research capacity, adding three research hoods and a walk-in hood to the laboratory facilities. SiGNa also added vital analytical equipment to meet its growing customer base including GC-MS and LC-MS capabilities.
"As interest in our technology continues to grow across key markets, we saw the opportunity to expand our facilities and specialized staff to better serve our customers," says Michael Lefenfeld, president and CEO, SiGNa Chemistry, Inc. "This expansion will allow us to keep pace, continuing to grow with our customer base."
The laboratory is an independent operating center for SiGNa Chemistry, focused on developing applications of SiGNa's novel materials for scientific professionals in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, petrochemical, environmental and consumer industries through the development of synthetic organic applications and technical consulting. It also serves as a technical support center for SiGNa's current and future client base, and is the testing grounds and product development arm for SiGNa's future growth. As commercial growth continues, the expanded chemical operations and addition of crucial analytical equipment provides SiGNa with the opportunity to increase its staff of synthetic organic chemists.
"In spite of the current short-term economic outlook, we see a strong opportunity for growth," according to Paul Vogt, Ph.D., Vice President, Process Development Services, SiGNa Chemistry, Inc. "This is a good time for our customers to take advantage of our patented technology to lower their operating costs."
