Background
Dr. Mikhail Kozlov is a Research Scientist at the NanoTech Institute, University
of Texas at Dallas. He is responsible for research in nanotechnology, carbon
nanotube composites, actuators, sensors, bio-nano systems, photonic crystals,
scientific instrumentation. He utilizes high pressure, other techniques for
syntheses of advanced materials and performs investigation of their mechanical,
optical, transport and magnetic properties. He is in lead of development of
novel carbon nanotube fibers, electro-mechanical actuators, fuel cells, various
nano-devices. He has over 20 years of experience involving novel material and
advanced instrumentation design.
Prior to joining NanoTech Institute, Dr. Mikhail Kozlov was a Member of Technical
Staff at R&D Division of JDS Uniphase Corp. in NJ. He was in lead of development
effort on diverse electro-optic equipment. In 1998-2001 he was affiliated with
R&D Center of Honeywell Inc in Morristown, NJ where he worked on novel carbon
materials and photonic devices for aerospace industry.
He has (co)authored over 64 papers and 6 patents in the field of nanofabrication,
spectroscopy, technology of carbon, advanced instrumentation. He has been a
lead investigator on a number government grants, supervised Ph.D students, post-doctoral
fellows and a number of times presented invited talks at various national and
international conferences.
