UC Riverside Research Enables Nano Engineered Applications to Develop Electronic Nose Prototype

Nano Engineered Applications, a company of Innovation Economy, has developed an ‘electronic nose’ prototype that is capable of detecting trace amounts of hazardous airborne substances based on a work by Nosang Myung, a professor at the University of California, Riverside, Bourns College of Engineering.

Focus Graphite has reported that Grafoid and CVD Equipment have entered into a one-year Joint Intellectual Property Development Agreement. Focus Graphite has a 40% stake in Grafoid.

Arkema to Exhibit New Carbon Nanotube Master Batches at NANO KOREA 2012

Arkema, a major provider of multiwall carbon nanotubes, has announced that it will take part in NANO KOREA 2012, a key international exhibition dedicated to nanotechnologies. The exhibition will be conducted from August 16 to 18 at COEX, Seoul, Korea.

Itochu Plastics to Distribute SouthWest Nanotechnologies’ Carbon Nanotube Products in Asia

Itochu Plastics is all set to take up the distribution of carbon nanotube products from SouthWest Nanotechnologies (SWeNT) throughout Asia as per an agreement between the two companies. The products include carbon nanotube (CNT) pastes, inks and dispersion apart from the single-wall and multi-wall carbon nanotubes.

Nanotubes to Separate Liquids

Engineers at Drexel University have been carrying out research to identify potential applications of carbon nanotubes. These nanotubes have a structure similar to straws and their thickness is thousand times smaller than a single human hair. In a recent development to the ongoing study at Drexel, the engineers have employed carbon nanotubes to separate liquids in a solution.
