Itochu Plastics is all set to take up the distribution of carbon nanotube products from SouthWest Nanotechnologies (SWeNT) throughout Asia as per an agreement between the two companies. The products include carbon nanotube (CNT) pastes, inks and dispersion apart from the single-wall and multi-wall carbon nanotubes.
SWeNT has launched a host of new products recently. The SG65i is a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT)-based product comprising semiconducting SWCNT types in very high concentration. They can be employed in printed semiconductor devices. Another SWCNT product in the pipeline meant for use as transparent conductive coatings will be available in the form of printable ink, powder and dispersions. This product will expand the application scope in sensors, lighting devices, display and solar electrodes and touch screens. In the multi-wall CNT line, SWeNT has launched two new grades labeled SMW200 and SMW210 which are employed as additives in lithium ion batteries to enhance cathode performance and in polymer compounds to improve electrical conductivity.
SWeNT has developed a host of conducting and semiconducting CNT inks that include water-based inks for rod coating and slot-die and screen and gravure inks employing V2V Ink technology. SWeNT’s partner, Chasm Technologies, is credited with the development of the V2V Ink technology.
SWeNT is a privately-held company that specializes in high-quality single-wall and specialty multi-wall carbon nanotube products in various forms, including pastes, powders, inks and dispersions for a variety of applications in the composites and electronics industries.
