TechConnect World, in association with the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI), and the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industries Organization (CTSI), today announced that more than 2,700 presentations will be featured in the Clean Technology'09, Nanotech'09 and TechConnect Summit events, taking place as part of TechConnect World in Houston, on May 3-7, 2009.
“The upcoming 2009 conference program is significantly larger than anything we’ve produced in the past, which is necessary to address all of the relevant topics and policy issues across the Nano, Bio and Clean Technology industries,” said Bart Romanowicz, Executive Director of NSTI. “Thousands of presenters in the show will reveal their latest innovations, showcase their best practices, and share their advanced research discoveries &ndahs; to the Fortune 500, government, and investment communities &ndahs; in a manner that helps to create the alliances that are needed to commercialize technology, and bring new solutions to market.”
The TechConnect Summit ties these conferences and technologies together, by providing a corporate needs forum where executives from Fortune 500 companies present their technological challenges (in the areas of Clean Technology, Nanotechnology, and Biotechnology) to the academic and research communities in attendance. The IP and Venture Forums provide a venue for early-stage companies and universities to showcase their ideas to investors, and executives from larger corporations, to cultivate partnerships, identify funding opportunities, and accelerate the process of commercializing their research.
The session list for the TechConnect Summit includes corporate needs presentations from leading Fortune 500 companies such as: Honda Motor Corporation, BASF, Kodak Company, Samsung Ventures, Medtronic, Merck Research, Dow Chemicals, Omron, Sanyo, and many others
Additional information on the Keynote addresses for the combined conferences will be made available in a subsequent news release. For more information on the Nanotech ’09, Clean Technology ’09, or TechConnect Summit events, please visit: www.techconnect.org/World2009/.
