Obducat to Take Part in Two Trade Fairs

Obducat continues to display its technology to the electronics- and solar cell industry. This week Obducat will take part in two trade fairs, one of which for solar cell technology and one for the hard disk technology. The Company will be showing how, with the help of nanoimprint lithography, more energy can be extracted from the same solar cell, and how a larger amount of information can be stored on hard disks.

In July, Obducat for the first time took part in an exhibition for solar cell technology, Intersolar North America. As a result of the positive response, the Company will take part also in the European solar cell exhibition, the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference, in Hamburg. As was the case at Intersolar, Obducat will be presenting its Sindre® 400 lithography system, which makes the extraction of energy from solar cells more efficient.

- With the development of the cleantech area, the interest in solar cell technology has increased, says Patrik Lundström, CEO, Obducat. Nanoimprint technology has for a number of years been used in research in order to improve the extraction of energy from solar cells, and we are now experiencing an increased interest from companies manufacturing solar cells.

Nanoimprint lithography is the technique used to print small structures on the surfaces of the solar cell. The structures enlarge the surface of the solar cell, thus increasing its efficiency.

The same technique can be used to increase performance and improve memory storage capacity on hard disks. Concurrently with the exhibition in Hamburg, the Diskcon USA in Santa Clara is held, where Obducat is showing status of the industrial production solution targeting the hard disk industry.

- Diskcon USA is this year's most important venue for the hard disk industry and as such an excellent opportunity for us to show our technology and competence to both current and prospective customers, says Patrik Lundström, CEO, Obducat.
