Obducat Appoints New CEO

Lars Tilly has been appointed new CEO at Obducat, following Patrik Lundström's decision to leave his position. Lars Tilly holds a Ph.D in semiconductor physics and is currently Head of Research at Ericsson in Lund. With considerable experience from the semiconductor sector, as well as extensive experience from R+D processes from one of the leading technology companies in the world, Lars Tilly will bring valuable knowledge to Obducat. His experience from converting research into commercialized products will be of outmost value to Obducat and its future development. Lars Tilly will take up his new position as of February 1, 2010.

Lars Tilly has comprehensive knowledge from the semiconductor sector, with a MSC in Engineering Physics at Lund Institute of Technology followed by research graduate studies and dissertation from the dept. of Solid State Physic at LIT. Lars started his professional career as a Post-Doctor employment at IBM Research Division in New York, with valuable insights into developing a technology from an advanced research stage into commercialized key technology in the production of ultra fast semiconductor circuits.

Lars Tilly has been employed within the Ericsson Group for many years, firstly as a specialist in the areas of semiconductor physics, device physics and circuit design at Ericsson Microelectronics in Kista. Thereafter he moved to Ericsson in Lund, where he during the last six years held a position as head of Research and Development, as well as an expert role within the semiconductor sector. Acting as head of R&D, he developed the business focusing on mobile telephone technology spanning from hard ware progresses and radio technology to applications and services. In addition, he has been active in deepening the collaboration between the telecom industry and colleges, amongst others creating industrial research forums, such as Mobile Heights in Lund. Lars Tilly is 48 years old.

Patrik Lundström, the present CEO of Obducat, has announced his intention to leave the company at a stage where Obducat is to further progress into an industralization phase. Lars Tilly will take up his new position starting February 1, 2010.
