Nanocyl announced today that it will feature its carbon nanotube technologies developed for cutting-edge electronics and automobile applications at Nanotech China, May 27-29, 2010 in Shanghai, PR China. Nanocyl will be located in Stand T007, in the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.
"Quality carbon nanotubes are essential for producing the newest nanomaterials for tomorrow's applications," said Roberto Mongiovi, Nanocyl's Global Sales and Marketing Manager for Thermoplastics.
"As applications shrink in size and require more durability, clean CNTs provide the conductivity, ESD protection, and resilience necessary for producing and shipping the newest products cost-competitively anywhere around the world," Mongiovi stated.
One of Nanocyl's featured products will be its NC 7000 Thin Multiwall CNTs, the most electrically conductive carbon nanotubes available today. These CNTs, which have an almost perfect chemical surface, are highly valued because their small size and high aspect ratio lets them form a network of conductivity at a very low concentration.
Also featured will be the new PLASTICYL PEEK 1001 thermoplastic concentrates.
These CNTs are versatile, providing either electrical conductivity or ESD protection, and are available in PC, PP, PA, POM and TPU thermoplastic resins.
Nanocyl's EPOCYL epoxy resins, SIZCYL sizing agents and PREGCYL pre-preg materials will be showcased at the show, too. Their technologies were developed for the lighter, multifunctional composites now being used in automotive, sports, marine and aerospace applications.
"These CNTs provide the performance properties the newer, all-purpose composites require," Mongiovi said. "They improve durability and reliability along with providing electrical conductivity and ESD protection."
Nanocyl's CNT technical assistance, ability to produce both custom grades and large volumes of CNTs, and its global logistics network augment its broad range of quality carbon nanotube technologies.
"The quality and added value of our CNTs, combined with our scaled-up capacity and personal service, can help OEMs and compounders succeed, especially those in Asia," Mongiovi stated. "We can help them sustain a competitive edge, reduce their total costs, and ultimately, increase their customers' satisfaction."
