Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Thermo Fisher will introduce a substantially improved liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) workflow for immunosuppressant analysis designed to improve productivity in clinical research applications. The seamless integration of instruments, software, consumables and reagents significantly reduces sample preparation time, improves overall performance and provides a total workflow supported by a single supplier. Thermo Fisher’s focus at this year’s AACC meeting is on advancements in both sample preparation and analysis. The company’s innovative workflow combines automated sample preparation, a fully contained immunosuppressant test kit, as well as industry-leading LC/MS technology and columns specifically designed for clinical research.
The Thermo Scientific ClinSpec Immunosuppressant Test Kit, for example, provides all the reagents, standards, controls and sample preparation methodology needed to monitor immunosuppressant drugs during research. The kit is part of a total solution for immunosuppressant drug analysis and was developed to provide significant time savings when compared with manual sample preparation. Similarly, the Thermo Scientific Versette automated liquid-handling platform is used to simplify the sample-handling method, whether the research chemist is transitioning from handheld pipetting or establishing an integrated system.
