Industrial Nanotech has declared that its Nansulate energy saving coatings has been included in the Resource Efficiency Atlas, which is a global collection of resource efficient products and technologies.
The three-year project will be carried out by the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy, the Frauenhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, University of Stuttgart and Trifolium-Beratungsgesellschaft for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Francesca Crolley, vice president of business development for Industrial Nanotech, said that this development will help worldwide energy conservation. Nansulate is the company's product line of specialty coatings that incorporate a nano-material and offer combined features of thermal insulation, resistance to mold, fire, chemicals and corrosion, and lead encapsulation in an eco-friendly water-based coating solution that is ideal for harsh environments.
The solution is suitable for use in homes, factories, on heat process, steam pipes, refrigerated trucks and airports in an endeavor to reduce power consumption and carbon emissions. It is cost- effective and can be installed.
The Resource Efficiency Atlas is the result of three years of in-depth global research and lists resources and technologies for sustainable development. It will be available by the end March 2011. It will be published in both print and online versions in German and English.
