Industrial Nanotech, Inc., a global leader in nanotechnology based energy saving solutions, today announced the official launch of the Company's LeadX™ clear lead encapsulation coating for lead abatement. This product is a version of their earlier LDX coating that incorporates new state of the art resin technology and includes improved adhesion to an even wider variety of surfaces.
The product was also renamed to LeadX™ to more accurately convey what the product does. To its knowledge, the Company currently offers the only lead encapsulation coating on the market that is clear, allowing the look of the underlying surface to remain intact while being made safe from lead contamination. The coating is used over lead based paint, brick, concrete, wood and other surfaces to encapsulate lead contamination.
"We've seen a steady increase in sales of our lead encapsulation product over the last few years and a faster increase in sales in 2015," stated Francesca Crolley, V.P. Business Development for Industrial Nanotech, Inc. "Our product is currently the only clear lead encapsulation product on the market that we or our customers are aware of, which gives us a significant advantage in the marketplace. We just received a call last week from a customer who had searched for clear lead encapsulants and could find nothing other than ours. It's our commitment to customers like that which drives us to continually improve our products. This updated formulation makes our lead abatement coating even better, enhancing adhesion to a greater variety of surfaces and giving the coating the ability to be subject to rain and freezing weather sooner after application than before. This product has been tested to high standards, on solid lead blocks using approved lead testing kits, and tested negative for lead on the surface where the coating was applied. It has continued to be one of our best sellers in the specialty coatings market and we plan to expand upon that success and solidify our market advantage."
Crolley continues, "Our lead encapsulation technology has been used by the U.S. Navy for lead remediation at both the Pearl Harbor Naval Base and Norfolk Naval Shipyard, by the American Red Cross, Child & Family Services, the Naval Aviation Museum, by commercial building renovators in Atlanta, Georgia, by schools like the Torit Language Center, and by multiple homeowners wanting to make their homes safe for their families. The coating is also safe for use on historical buildings and was approved by the New York Historical Preservation Office for a renovation project for the Susan B. Anthony Voters Block area in Rochester, New York. We also look forward to being part of a significant national museum project which is opening in 2016. Being clear and easy to apply, while also being very economical, makes this product a key solution in the lead abatement market."
