Product Longevity Program to Enhance 20nm NAND and 45nm NOR Memory Technologies

Micron Technology has recently launched a product longevity program (PLP) suitable for long lifecycles that require legacy memory solutions. It is suitable for industrial, medical and automotive industries that require consistent memory designs that will enable a base for their products over long periods.

According to Tom Eby, vice president of Micron's embedded solutions group, the enhanced availability and support of the product lowers the risks involved in designing and ensures safety of capital invested by its partners in the medical, automotive and industrial environments. The product will enhance the company’s memory technologies including the 20nm NAND and 45nm NOR.

The inaugural products launched under the program include DRAM, parallel and serial NOR, and low-density NAND.
