Roche Applied Science has entered into a contract with IT-IS Life Sciences for sales and distribution of their LightCycler Nano Instrument. The instrument would be launched in the market in mid-2011.
Light Cycler Nano Instrument
The LightCycler Instrument from Roche has a range of capabilities, especially for analysis software,RT_PCR assays and reagents. It is also used in the quantification of nucleic acids, gene expression profiling and determining genetic variations.
The instrument is a real time PCR cycler with a 32-well format with superior features and user-friendly software. The instrument is compact, operates with minimal noise and is ideal for bench-top applications such as real-time PCR analysis in laboratories. The instrument uses standard PCR strips that are compatible with common detection dyes with a full spectrum optical range.
According to Roche Applied Science's Life Cycle Leader qPCR and NA purification, Gerd HaberHausen, with the LightCycler instrument it is possible to provide a novel and compact superior performance, PCR instrument under an exclusive global agreement. He believes that customers would appreciate the design features and appreciate the functionalities that it offers.
