Headquartered in Norway, manufacturer of solar modules and solar wafers, REC has announced that modules and wafers produced by the company have received a TUV certification whereby the products containing European components will benefit from the 10% premium provided as per the Italian photovoltaic incentive scheme.
Brought into effect in May 2011, the solar policy drafted by Italy, the fourth Energy Bill provides a 10% incentive for photovoltaic products that contain European materials. As per the policy, REC’s modules have been certified by European content. The EVP and COO of the REC group, John Andersen stated that REC provides solar modules wafers with quality European content. This also allows the company’s wafer customers to endorse their products featuring REC’s devices as European.
